Metro Garage Door, Inc. is a family owned and operated company. We’ve been serving the metro Atlanta area since 1992 in the garage door industry. In May 2012, Metro Garage Doors, Inc. and L&W Insulation and Fireplaces, Inc. (since 1979) joined together to add fireplace and insulation services to the company’s garage door business. Our business consists of three main areas: garage doors, fireplaces, and insulation. We offer services, repairs, replacements and installations for residential and commercial customers.
Tony came out at the appointed time and installed a new garage door opener. Although he inadvertently removed the transformer for the home security system, he brought it back a few days later and the security company was able to reinstall and rewire it. Metro was very gracious to reimburse the cost to have it rewired. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and services of this company!!
We used Metro several times for fireplace needs, garage doors, installation, and maintenance. We could not be happier about using them. Well I left them a 5 star rating after the review I realized that my out side key bad was not working if you the come to service make they check everything for them to come back out it will cost another charge which is not cheap sorry I left them a 5 star
Easy process from the beginning, starting with scheduling a rep to come out and give a proposal, to going in to pay for it. Then when the installation happened, the tech was very friendly and quick. I highly recommend Metro to anyone.

My crawl space was a mess! Insulation hanging down, plastic covering ground was disintegrating when I called Krissy at L & W insulation (Metro Door). Within four days of my phone inquiry, salesman came out, quote came via email, and two efficient installers came to insulate one room, rehang fallen insulation, and lay down plastic. They even cut down some old cable wire that hung down and impersonated a black snake I had witnessed crawling under house. I am so glad I called and this job can be marked off my “to do” list.
I would have preferred to keep this horrendous experience to myself, but since you asked......Let me start by saying, I am from the Bronx, N.Y., so it takes a lot to offend me when it comes to subpar service, but I would be lying if I said this didn't rank atop of that list. For starters, I took a day off work so I could be home when the service technician arrived. I got a call that day saying the technician called in sick and there was no one to cover for him.When the technician (who I am assuming was the same person) came out 3 days later (after I took another day off), he said they needed a downpayment for the service they have yet to deliver. A service, I later found out would take an additional month to perform. Wait, I skipped an important part. When he came over to fix the garage they didn't have the right panel, so they would have to order it, and that would take another month (and another day off). Wait, there is more.... The recently healed technician did fix the spring in the garage and put an new garage door panel up. However, the new panel was too small and they had to order the right size door panel because there is a gap in "the new door." The technician offered to put masking tape to hide the gap/hole, but he was kind enough to mention that the door would be inoperable, if I chose that route.I think I will end here, before I get mad all over again.
The young man that came out to service my garage door was professional, polite, and efficient. He actually showed me the problem, a broken spring. He replaced it and offered to reconnect my 21 year old opener motor but I wanted a new one. He had one on the truck and had it setup in no time. Metro Garage installed my original garage doors and openers 21 years ago. I don't plan on using anyone else.
Automatic Gate Opener-So I needed to come back and write another review. Metro Garage Door has been my lifeline for not only my garage but also my automatic gate. Bruce has been assisting with the install since 2021 and I had a few minor issues with the gate when first installed (we didn't realize we weren't getting enough power to our solar panels). Every time Bruce came out, he was quick to respond, patient and attentive. Fast forward to today in 2023. A contractor's truck damaged the keypad while entering my driveway. I placed the call and Bruce came out within a few hours and fixed the issue. Bruce and this company are awesome!
I bought from them 20+ years ago so I rang them when I had and issue. They came right out. While here measuring, they took the time to educate me on my options which helped me get exactly what I wanted. They called a few weeks later to set up my install which only took a few hours. They have a good team there and I see why they have so many return customers.
To my fellow veterans, it BEHOOVES you NOT TO EVER CALL THIS COMPANY!!! THIS COMPANY WAYYYYY OVERCHARGES!!!!! Outrageously overcharge. They DO NOTTTT care bout veterans as they advertise. I've never had a company give quote like this. I advise everyone to listen, if not, then overpay at least 500 dollars more then even a fair price. At least get 3 more quotes, if you do call them. I'm warning everyone now!!! This company is robbing people. No wonder they don't have any workers!!!
The folks over at metro garage door are awesome to work with. Jake had me up and running in a few hours with 3 new openers. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with setting up my equipment and showing me how to operate it. Kelly, who helped me pick out the openers I wanted was very friendly and demonstrated great professionalism. Will most certainly do business in the future with metro. Thanks again!
I called at noon and the technician came in about an hour. Joe was a terrific guy that replaced the door opening motor in 45 minutes. I am back in business in 2 hours from when I placed my request for service. Terrific response and great service.
Had an emergency repair and they were highly recommended by my family. My requests went unanswered for a few days and when they finally got back to me we already had 2 other companies come and give us quotes for a garage door, motor, belt, etc replacement and repairs scheduled. They were also going to charge us over $150 to even come look at our issue, where the other 2 companies did not charge. Unfortunate because I heard good things about this company, but our experience was not a good one.
Review edit: As requested, I called last week and left a message with Lindsay to discuss my concerns. I never heard back.I scheduled an appointment to have my gate operator repaired. Unfortunately, the first attempt did not resolve the issue. I called to schedule another appointment. I was given a date and Metro Garage never showed up, nor did they call. I called again and was told they would come out another day, which they did not, nor did they contact me. When I called the third time to ask if there was some type of miscommunication I was spoken to in an unprofessional manor. Also, I was quoted one price and then given a higher amount. They did honor the amount they originally quoted as a compensation for my experience. The gate was never repaired properly by them, however, I found a great gate company that immediately found the issue.
Called on Tuesday morning to schedule my appointment for Friday. Technician called in advance to state they were on their way. Took maybe 15-25 minutes to replace my spring. Just spent $470 a year ago with them to replace my motor and I can't recall how much I spent to replace the door prior. Well today was another $270. Customer service representative told me it would be the technician discretion whether my problem was under warranty. He decided it was not. Been giving them my business for years and now I'll look elsewhere. Can't afford them anymore.
Great customer service from start to finish. Office staff was very helpful and the installers were fantastic (and on time!). I’ve tried other companies before and this one will be my go-to from now on. Responsive, honest and resourceful!

My garage stopped working properly on saturday morning, so I called Metro Garage Door, inc as they replaced my opener years ago..I was sad to see they were closed on Saturdays as that led me to call another company my big mistake....I actually had two appts one with the competitor n Metro...the competitor was like a tornado not being able to show up in a timely fashion n not having all the necessary tools to do the job with that said Metro came within the time I was told. Mr Tony Marinello was so professional, efficient, personable n understanding as to my situation concerning my garage door. I recommend this company to any n all who need any service or replacement of their garage door. Thank you Metro for sending the BEST!
Garage door installed in behalf of the builder, 2 panels were damaged but they installed it anyways. we have to wait almost 5 months to have it replaced. after replacing the panels, railings pop-off in less than a day since they were not able to mount it correctly to stud. now we have wait until Monday again for them to come since they said it is not an emergency. Kelly is not helpful either and the way. There is arrogance in the way the concern was answered.
We've been needing our garage door replace for months. This morning my wife received a call saying we'd have someone from Metro garage doors to replace it at around 930am. Dylan Moon showed up on time and went right to work. He was very professional and efficient in his work. He replaced our old door with a new door in no time all with a smile. Great work young man! Tried to hire them to install a new motor and service existing garage door. I scheduled an appointment with Debbie and she was very helpful and professional. When I never received a call to confirm my appointment or an estimated time of arrival I called to check in and was told by Angie(I believe that was her name) they had tried to call me multiple times. I NEVER received a call from them and she shared that they just canceled the appointment because "we arent just going to diddle around waiting for you". She was extremely unprofessional and I am very disappointed in the service that I received today.
The technician Tony did a super job on repairing and tuning up my vintage garage door, I have used them before but this time, When paying with anything other than cash or a check this company charges 3% for playing with a debit card I feel they should include the card service fee price in their parts or service fee instead of gouging the consumer for another 3% charge. That us not legal in the state of Georgia and some states.
Bought a new home in 2019 and metro garage had installed doors on behalf of builder. Today morning while opening the garage door the curved arm and middle steel portion of garage door was pulled out. After complaining about it ,they said they will charge for technician to come and see followed by other charges .I dont understand how come steel part break if substandard quality is not used. Highly disappointed in there service. Its only 2 years and did not last long. Bad experience.
Jake was a great Tech. He was very knowledgeable and showed a high degree of professionalism as he removed the old system and installed the new.I would highly recommend Metro Garage Door. Friendly and extremely helpful in making equipment selections.
We deal with this company for a long time. Wonderful trust and honest people. Jake did outstanding job. The customer service also is outstanding. They respond so quick to your messages. Kelly also amazing if you need any more question. I will give them 10 stars if I can.

He completed the repair very quickly and ensured the door’s resulting integrity and our peace of mind. He is strongly recommended by myself to future clients.
From start to finish a class act. Scheduling was adaptable to my needs. My technician, Brandon Collins, showed up right on time. He was professional, knowledgeable, and had a “can-do” attitude that I wish was more prevalent in the business world today. He even programmed all 3 of my Homelinks in record time! I don’t write many reviews but Metro deserves the praise.
I called Metro Garage Doors on Tuesday and they were able to send a technician on Friday. Brandon Collins came in the requested time frame and was able to get our springs repaired and garage back up and running. The entire process was efficient and we’re so excited to be able to use a local company that supports the community.
Jimmy did an excellent job replacing our springs and installing the garage door keypad. He exemplified professionalism, he was knowledgeable, and above all friendly! He answered ALL of my questions, and I had a few. We will certainly be using Metro again for any future garage door concerns.

We moved into a home that needed Metro Garage Doors. They are extremely responsive. Jimmy Smith, the Residential Tech, was professional and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He immediately figured out what our problem was and fixed it. He explained the situation and wanted to ensure we didn't have any questions prior to his leaving. We will definitely use Metro Garage Doors again and will request Jimmy Smith. Hopefully, we will not need them but as a house ages, you never know. However, we do know who we will be calling. Once again we are highly impressed with Metro Garage Doors! With the recent storms, both our openers were zapped by lightning. Metro was quick to get a repair appointment scheduled, and Kelly from the office let us know one of the openers was still under warranty with LiftMaster should extensive repairs be needed. However, we had Jake Wilson as our amazing tech who was able to replace the older of the two and easily troubleshoot the other one to determine only the sensors needed to be replaced. He also oiled both tracks so that they are soo much quieter when opening/closing. Thank You Metro Garage Doors!!
