Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at metrogaragedoorsinc.com ("the Site") operated by Metro Garage Doors Inc. ("Metro," "we," "us," or "our"), and the services we provide through the Site or otherwise. By accessing the Site, requesting service, booking an appointment, or accepting a quote from Metro, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services. These Terms are separate from, and in addition to, the written quote, work order, or invoice you receive for any specific job.
Use of the website
You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes — researching services, requesting estimates, scheduling appointments, applying for financing, and learning about garage door products. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, the servers it runs on, or any system connected to it.
- Scrape, harvest, or use automated tools to collect data from the Site without permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation, servers, or networks.
- Reproduce, copy, sell, or resell any content from the Site without written permission.
All content on the Site — copy, photography, schema, design, code — is owned by Metro or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
Service area
Metro provides residential and commercial garage door services across the Atlanta metro area, dispatched from our Douglasville and Alpharetta locations. Our published service area covers Atlanta, Marietta, Alpharetta, Douglasville, Hiram, Powder Springs, Acworth, Kennesaw, Roswell, Smyrna, Austell, and Lithia Springs, with surrounding zip codes served as routes and demand allow.
We reserve the right to decline service for addresses outside the service area, for safety reasons, or where conditions on site (e.g., structural issues unrelated to the door) require work outside our scope.
Estimates & quotes
Repair quotes are written and provided in person before any work begins. The quote itemizes parts, labor, and any applicable discounts. New-door installation estimates are free, in-home, and itemized; an estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date issued unless stated otherwise on the document.
We do not perform work, install parts, or commit you to charges before you authorize the written quote. If conditions change during the work — for example, a hidden problem becomes visible only after disassembly — we stop, explain the change, and present a revised written quote for your approval before continuing.
The number on the written quote is the number on the invoice for the scope authorized. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately and billed only with your written or verbal approval at the time.
Booking & appointments
You can book an appointment by phone at (770) 526-1214, through the Schedule Online button on the Site, or via the contact form. We confirm a service window when you book and aim to send a heads-up text or call when the technician is on the way.
Service windows are best-effort estimates. Routing, traffic, prior-job complexity, and weather can shift arrival times. If we are running materially late, we'll let you know.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service unless arranged otherwise in writing. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, ACH/check, and approved financing through GreenSky. We do not store full credit-card numbers — payments are processed by our payment processor in compliance with industry standards (PCI-DSS).
Past-due balances may incur a service charge consistent with applicable law. Returned checks are subject to a returned-check fee. We reserve the right to refuse future service to accounts with unpaid balances or repeated chargebacks.
Workmanship warranty (the Metro Promise)
Metro stands behind the work we perform with our lifetime workmanship guarantee and our 90-day make-it-right guarantee:
- Lifetime workmanship. The labor performed by Metro on a residential repair or installation is warranted against defective workmanship for as long as you own the property where the work was performed.
- 90-day make-it-right. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the work — quality, fit, finish — within 90 days of completion, contact us and we will return to make it right at no charge to you.
- Warranty callbacks. Repair visits to address workmanship issues during the warranty period are free, with no diagnostic fee. Charges only apply to separate, unrelated work you ask us to perform during the same visit.
The workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, vehicle impact, severe weather, attempted DIY repairs, normal wear of consumable parts, or work performed by another contractor. Manufacturer parts are covered under their own warranties — see below.
Manufacturer warranties
New garage doors, openers, springs, and other parts we install carry their own manufacturer warranties (for example, LiftMaster opener warranties vary by model). Coverage and exclusions are governed by the manufacturer's warranty document, which we provide at install or upon request.
If a part fails during the manufacturer warranty period, we coordinate the warranty claim and replacement on your behalf. Our labor on warranty replacement work is covered by the Metro workmanship warranty.
Promotional offers
Current promotional offers are listed on the Promotions page with full terms. Each offer specifies the eligible service, the discount amount, restrictions, and expiration if any. Offers are subject to the following general terms:
- Discounts apply to the final invoice for qualifying work performed in our service area.
- Promotions cannot be combined with other Metro promotional discounts on the same job (financing offers may stack with installation discounts as noted in the offer terms).
- Discounts are not redeemable for cash, transferable, or applicable to past services.
- Metro reserves the right to verify eligibility and to refuse or modify offers in cases of suspected fraud or abuse.
- Offers are subject to change. Pricing reflects what is current at the time of booking.
Financing
Metro offers financing through the GreenSky consumer loan program. Loans are issued by Synovus Bank, member FDIC, NMLS #408043. Metro is not the lender, does not extend credit, and is not responsible for credit decisions. Loan terms, rates, fees, and approvals are determined by the lender and are subject to credit approval and verification.
Pre-qualification typically uses a soft credit pull that does not affect your credit score. A hard inquiry occurs only when you accept a final loan offer. By submitting a financing application, you authorize Metro to share project information with GreenSky as needed to facilitate the loan; your personal application data is collected and processed by GreenSky directly. Cancellation & rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule a service appointment without charge by contacting us before the technician is dispatched to your address. Cancellations made after the technician has arrived may be subject to a trip charge equal to the service-call diagnostic fee.
For new-door installations and other custom-order work, materials are typically ordered after you sign the work order. Cancellations or changes after material order may incur restocking, return-shipping, or non-refundable deposit charges depending on the manufacturer and product. Specifics are disclosed on the work order before you sign.
Access & safety
You agree to provide our technicians with safe, reasonable access to the work area. This includes clearing vehicles, storage, and obstacles from the immediate garage interior, ensuring pets are secured, and disclosing any known hazards (electrical, structural, pest, etc.).
Garage doors are heavy mechanical systems under significant spring tension. Do not attempt to operate a door with a broken spring, snapped cable, or off-track panel. Doing so can cause serious injury or property damage. Wait for the technician.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metro's total liability arising out of or relating to the Site, the Terms, or any service performed shall not exceed the amount you paid Metro for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Metro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill — even if Metro has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The Site is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Metro disclaims, to the fullest extent permitted by law, all warranties of any kind regarding the Site, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
Nothing in this section limits Metro's workmanship or manufacturer warranties on services and products we sell, which are governed by sections 7–8 above.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Metro Garage Doors Inc., its officers, employees, and authorized agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, or expense — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of (a) your use of the Site in violation of these Terms, (b) your provision of inaccurate or incomplete information, or (c) any third-party claim relating to property or persons at the service address that is not caused by Metro's negligence or willful misconduct.
Disputes & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or any service performed by Metro shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Douglas County or Cobb County, Georgia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to first contact Metro at legal@metrogaragedoorsinc.com or by phone at (770) 526-1214 to attempt a good-faith resolution. Many issues can be resolved quickly with a phone call.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as our practices change or to comply with new legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site or by direct notice when reasonable. Continued use of the Site or our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
